Another update [07 Jul 2006|11:35pm]
Who knew I would want to write in this thing again!
I guess I have more things to say...this summer has been so busy

To kind of follow up my last entry, Call Me Mister went very well. It didnt start off that way though...the first rehearsal I went to after i got the email about my cut song was very very difficult. To keep a long story short, they added more solos, they put me in the very back and asked me to be backstage and be a dresser.

I was upset.

I had to let them know how I felt, so I did. They apologized and said they really appreciated me sticking with the show...I was the only one from my song that stayed. I was still upset, but I got over it. They put me in the front and i didn't have to go backstage. The show was funny, cute, I got to work with equity actors and it was definetely an...experiance. A good one I think. I do have to admit though, it was a looong week.

Coming back to Blood Brothers was so happy. I really did miss everyone, and they gave me such a nice welcome back. Everyone was just so nice, and they made me feel good. It was nice to have people come up to me after i did scenes and just be like, "Its great to have you back"

Rehearsals are still going well. Honestly, its kicking my butt. It's a great role, and I've been working hard. This director is really tough, and I've decided to set a goal for myself to have her tell me good job during notes. She's not one for giving compliments I've found.

I've also started working. The camp job is great, the pay is awesome and I get paid to play kickball, swim and put on little plays. The first session ended today, they did a play about pirates and mermaids.

The only down side is I am so busy, and I miss everyone. I don't really have time to hang out or see people...my only day off is Sunday, and I'm always real tired...having to get up early for work, then going straight to rehearsal and not getting home till late kills me.

Its what i wanted though. Working during the day and doing a show at night is what I wanted.

Hooray!

Hooray! Update! [05 Feb 2006|10:51am]
[ mood | content ]

So I've been teching for the opera all this week. Today is the last show.
Boy am I happy
I work the lightboard. It's pretty sweet. I press go and hang out with the stage manager in the booth.
It gets boring, especially since it's a 3 hour opera. Geeeeez.

Today is Superbowl Sunday, and me and my roomate's are going to Hannah's boyfriend's apartment to watch the game. It will be super fun, especially since Jenny and I are picking out the food. MMMMmmmmm

Speaking of roomates, I'm in a new room with 2 new roomates, and it's so happy! It's so much better than living downstairs, I'm on the 3rd floor now, and we have fun neighbors. And it's like a sleepover every night. Aand we all have boyfriends.

Speaking of boyfriends, Dale is coming this weekend! And we're going on a quadrouple date with my roomies and their boyfriends for Valentines Day and it will be sooooo fun. I'm really excited, we've been talking about it for a week!

And that's all for now, I figured I should update.

The end :)

It was really really hard saying goodbye this time
I really like being home
And even though I'm ready to go back to the city
I had to lay in his arms and cry
For a long time

Everything is fine, it always is

I just hope next year we'll be able to ride back together

I'll be staying at Coronado Springs Resort and will be living like Zorro and running through the town, dancing under fiesta lights and eating good Mexican food

Then I will turn into a Disney Princess and prance through the park and sing the whole time

Hehe

Update! [29 Nov 2005|08:22pm]
[ mood | calm ]

Hooray! An update!

Its going to be short

A good news bad news one

GOOD NEWS : I had a lovely break, even though it was too short and I didn't have enough time to do what I wanted. I also got a callback for Boco's spring mainstage, which is pretty freaking awesome. There are only a few freshmen, and for the part I got called back, its only between me and another freshmen girl. Crazy. We got new music in my musical theatre class, and were doing the ballad of sweeney todd and a pretty arrangement of Somewhere. Yaaaay. I have an A- in ear training.

BAD NEWS : Someone took my luggage on the train on the way back. A weeks worth of clothes is gone. Hair dryer and curler are gone. No glasses. No make-up. No Christmas decorations I brought for the dorm! New poster Dale got me. SAD. TIMES. Theyre supposed to call me if it shows up, but I havent gotten a call yet. And I have this random woman's luggage who probably took mine because it looks similar and I have to bring it back to the train station which is far away.

And i got jury duty. In Massachusettes. On a freaking Wednesday morning at 8. What are the odds?!

Sigh

That is my life right now

PS Finals are so soon! Geez!

[ mood | grateful ]

Its parents weekend!

I like my family being here

And...my Mom brought me some tapes of performances at Hayfield
Katrina Aid, Broadway night, Madrigal Showcase, and the senior video

It makes me so happy guys

I love everyone and...Hayfield Drama makes me happy.
It also made me realize how much I love what I do and how grateful I am that I get to go to school and do it all day!
And I want to be in a show so bad

But watching just made me so happy, and it makes me want to work so much harder, and just...learn as much as I can

Ah

*Happy sigh*

Good night

More random thoughts [24 Oct 2005|03:01pm]
[ mood | content ]

I am very lucky
To go to the college I wanted to go to
To have really amazing new friends here
To have a family that supports me
and to have a boyfriend who still loves me

Places that you can make your own pottery at are
a) super fun
b) good for dates and can be very romantic
c) good for a girls night out also
d) good place to celebrate a one year anniversary, even if it's technically about 2 weeks away

Simply walking in a mall like the Pru can have lots of little surprises
Seeing a children's opera can actually be romantic and not silly
Waiting over a half hour after being told to wait for 20 minutes at an italian restaraunt can be ok if you're holding someone's hand and you have silly MIT boys to giggle at
And spending a weekend with the boy you havent seen in weeks and have everything be like you haven't spent a day apart...is magic :)

Thank you for such a good weekend Dale :)

In other news, I have MIDTERMS. Boooo

I also like to listen to jazz now
Its so chill and nice

Also, orangey-pinkish roses are gorgeous
Especially when they're blooming
Gorgeous

I like that its cold outside.
Autumn in New England
Sounds nice, huh?

Still excited for my Butterfly costume
Also excited for upcoming breaks
Thanksgiving will be fantastic
And so will Christmas
Mmm, Christmas!

Family weekend is in a few days
I'm excited, and not bummed that my parents will be here
I think it will be happy

I love it here
But home still makes me happy
Hearing from people back home is so happy

Who knew doing laundry and going grocery shopping brings a smile to my face

Oh, college

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

Oooh man

So here I am on Friday morning, after coming back from my 8 o clock liberal arts class...I saw my angry entry and noticed that was the last thing people have read about me, so I gotta let everyone know Im not angry anymore, haha.

Well, I ended up getting a cheap flight home thanks to BRIAN BRAUNLICH and he really did save my life. If I had to take the train, I would have cried. Hes the man. But anyway, coming home was really nice. It was so great seeing everyone and being home and getting to perform! I dont know if any of the other college kids think like this, but being in Boston is fantastic, but I'm reminded of home a lot, just by the most randomest things. And hearing from people at home, and actually coming back...is refreshing. It was nice to come to a place that I'm familiar with and seeing familiar faces who know who I am! Even thugh Boco is pretty small, I still dont know everyone, and a lot of the city is still unfamiliar, so coming home made me feel good. Being with family, friends, and of course the boy, made me think about why I am here at Boco, and what I get to do everyday, and how lucky I am, and I learned that where I come from is pretty hard core.

So anyway, coming back was also nice. Living in a city is definetely something I've gotten used to, and being in the suburbs was weird! (Driving was also weird, haha) But being back in Boston made me happy, and getting into the swing of things again was of course, great. Classes are still going very well, I'm busier than ever. Friday is my chill day, I dont have another class till 1:30 aand today is especially exciting because Andrew Lippa will be here holding a master class. Yeah man, Wild Party? He wrote that shit. You guys know "Life of the Party". This is the guy. So excited. And this weekend is our homecoming...which is kind of silly considering we dont have a sports team, but I guess we're playing football somewhere, and theres a dance. Yay

Following the Sox has been especially exciting now. They're one game behind the Yankees and are tied with Cleveland for the Wildcard. We play the YANKEES today and over the weekend, and theyre playing HERE, which is so freaking exciting. A lot of crazy stuff will be happening...we were thinking about camping out over the weekend to get standing room seats, hopefully things will follow through!

I went out to dinner yesterday with my Aunty Ellen, my cousin Lisa, and my roomate Jenny, which was very nice. And this weekend, theres a hawk reunion at Freddy's apartment, and we're making dinner. Heck yes. Me, Melissa, Freddy and Julia are getting together (Dinah is in NYC) and are gonna catch up and have fun. I'm very excited. And also, on Monday, Kim Grigsby is coming to take Freddy, Melissa and I out to dinner because we're her scholarship winners. Since it's a Monday, she won't be conducting Light in the Piazza, so shes making the trip to take us to a really fancy restaurant called The Top of the Hub...which should be fantastic. Holey Moley.

So, I guess thats all for now. I wish you crazy guys could come to visit me. We'd have a good time, haha.

K10
